Privacy Policy — IQFluence Creator Check

IQFluence Creator Check shows vetting metrics for the public creator profile
you are viewing on Instagram, TikTok or YouTube. When you click the extension
icon, it sends the address of the current page to IQFluence to retrieve the
report. It does not read page content and does not collect your browsing
history on other websites.

1. What the extension reads

When you click the extension icon on a page on instagram.com, tiktok.com or youtube.com, the extension reads the URL of that page. While the panel stays open, it also reads the URL of other pages you open on the same site. It does not read or parse the content of the page.

2. What we collect

  • Page URLs. The full URL of the page on which you open the panel, and of other pages you open on the same site while the panel is open, is sent to IQFluence. Our server determines whether it is a creator profile, so URLs of pages on instagram.com, tiktok.com and youtube.com that are not creator profiles may also be sent. URLs of pages on other websites are never sent;

  • Installation ID. A random identifier (UUID) generated on install. It identifies one installation of the extension, is not a fingerprint, and is used to apply usage limits and prevent abuse. It is also added to the address of the IQFluence pages that open when you install or remove the extension;

  • Usage events. The extension records when the panel, the report, the sign-up prompt or the usage-limit notice is shown, and when you click certain buttons in the panel. Each event includes the installation ID and, where applicable, the platform and the type of click. Events do not include page URLs, creator handles or page content. Our websites record when the extension is installed or uninstalled, and our servers record checks, reached limits and deletion requests;

  • Account sign-in and sign-up. Signing in is optional. If you sign in with your email address and password, they are transmitted to IQFluence’s authentication service over HTTPS. The extension does not store your password. If you start creating an account, the email address you enter is sent to IQFluence. You can also sign in with Google through Chrome’s web authentication flow; in that case we receive the information Google provides to authenticate you, such as your email address. Once you are signed in, requests are linked to your IQFluence account so we can show the reports available on your plan;

  • Notes. Text you enter in the Notes field is sent to IQFluence and saved to your account. Notes are visible to all members of your IQFluence team, both on the IQFluence website and in the extension.

3. What we don’t collect

The extension does not collect, store or sell:

  • Your browsing history or the addresses of pages on websites other than instagram.com, tiktok.com and youtube.com;

  • Page content or messages;

  • Your location;

  • Cookies of the websites you visit — the extension has no cookies permission. Requests to iqfluence.io use your existing IQFluence session.

4. Where requests go and how we use the data

Requests with your data are sent only to iqfluence.io, over HTTPS. Creator avatars and thumbnails shown in the panel are loaded from img.iqfluence.io, i.ytimg.com and yt3.googleusercontent.com. We use the data to return the requested report, apply usage limits (a free daily limit, or your plan’s quota when you are signed in), prevent abuse, monitor reliability and improve the extension.

The use of information received from the extension complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell user data, do not use or transfer it for purposes unrelated to the extension’s single purpose, and do not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

5. What is stored on your device

The extension uses Chrome storage (chrome.storage) for:

  • Installation ID — the random identifier described above;

  • Temporary panel data — the selected platform and a short-lived sign-in ticket, kept only for the browser session.

All locally stored data is deleted when you remove the extension.

6. Data retention

  • Server-side request logs (platform, page URL, installation ID) are kept for 14 days to enforce usage limits and prevent abuse, and are then deleted;

  • Usage events, account data, notes and check history are kept until you ask us to delete them;

  • When you ask us to delete your data, we also remove it from our backups.

To request deletion, write to contact@iqfluence.io.

7. Permissions

The extension requests only the permissions it needs:

  • activeTab — to access the current tab’s URL and open the panel when you click the extension icon;

  • scripting — to inject the extension’s packaged content script into the current tab to display the panel after your click;

  • identity — to complete optional Google sign-in through Chrome’s web authentication flow;

  • storage — to save the installation ID and temporary panel data;

  • instagram.com, tiktok.com, youtube.com — to show the metrics panel on pages of these sites;

  • iqfluence.io — to fetch creator metrics, authenticate your account, load and save notes, and send usage events;

  • img.iqfluence.io, i.ytimg.com, yt3.googleusercontent.com — to load creator avatars and thumbnails.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the data linked to your account or installation ID by writing to contact@iqfluence.io. Removing the extension deletes all data stored on your device.
