What does follower count mean in IQFluence tops?

The Followers value on an IQFluence creator card shows the account’s recorded following for the platform covered by the list. On YouTube, the corresponding measure is the channel’s subscriber count.

Use this number to understand account size. It does not tell you how many people will see a particular post or how many are likely to buy.

What do “k” and “m” mean?

Creator cards shorten larger numbers to make lists easier to scan. “k” means thousand and “m” means million.

For example, 72k represents approximately 72,000 followers, while 1.5m represents approximately 1.5 million. These are compact display values, so two cards showing the same rounded number may have different underlying counts.

The ranking order uses the stored count available for that account before IQFluence applies compact display formatting. A label such as 72k can therefore hide small differences between accounts. If the platform supplies only a rounded count, the stored value is rounded too.

On YouTube, this field represents channel subscribers. It does not represent video views or the

Creator B

Two accounts can display the same compact follower label and still have different stored counts.

The count belongs to one account on one platform. Adding a creator’s Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube totals does not produce a unique audience count because the same person may follow them in more than one place.

Does follower count determine ranking position?

Under IQFluence’s default ranking method, profiles first need to meet the list’s qualification rules. Eligible profiles are then ordered by follower count, highest first.

A larger account can therefore appear above a smaller account with higher engagement. Its position reflects its following within the eligible group.

How should you use this metric?

Start with the account-size range that fits your brief, then inspect recent content, engagement, and audience geography. A large following can help identify candidates for an awareness campaign, but it does not establish audience authenticity or expected reach.

For campaign planning, follower count helps define the shortlist. Actual content performance and audience fit determine whether a creator deserves a closer look.
