What does a creator’s ranking position mean?

The number beside a creator’s card shows their position within that IQFluence list. Under the default method, profiles first qualify against the page’s criteria and are then ordered by follower count, highest first.

Position 1 means the account has the largest recorded following among the eligible profiles in that ranking. It does not establish that the creator is the best partner for every campaign.

How is the position assigned?

Qualification determines which profiles can enter the list. The criteria depend on the page: a topic list needs subject relevance, a country list needs creator-location evidence, and a combined list needs both.

After qualification and exclusions, follower count determines the order. On YouTube, the corresponding count is subscribers. If counts are equal, a consistent internal identifier resolves the tie without implying a quality difference.

Engagement rate, average likes, and audience estimates provide additional context but do not change the default order.

The ranking uses the stored follower or subscriber count before compact display formatting. When two eligible profiles have the same stored count, a consistent internal identifier determines their order. The tie-break does not represent a difference in engagement or campaign suitability.

Why can a creator have different positions in different lists?

Each list has its own eligible group. A creator’s position can therefore change when the group changes, even if their follower count remains the same.

Illustrative example: A creator might be third among eligible beauty creators connected with a country and twelfth in a broader country list. Those positions describe different comparisons; neither establishes a universal platform rank.

Can a position change without follower growth?

Yes. Other creators’ counts can change, new profiles can qualify, or existing profiles can become ineligible. Changes in the available data can also change the eligible group.

Read a position together with the list’s criteria and data date. A move in the ranking alone does not prove that the creator’s content performance improved or declined.

How should you use the ranking number?

Use the order to navigate accounts by size within a relevant group. Then review the information that determines campaign fit: recent content, audience geography, engagement, previous sponsored work, and availability.

If your objective is the highest engagement or fastest growth, follower-count position does not answer that question. Such comparisons require a method for the specific performance metric.
