Today I’m another year older, another year closer to being like my favorite trees, to reaching my full grandma embodiment 🌬 This has been the most love filled year of my life, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve cried in awe of the joy and freedom felt in my bones. Instead of asking “where is the love?” I found myself asking “can I hold alllll of this love?” I feel more rooted in the parts of me that are unchanging, I feel unafraid to tell the truth, I feel more childlike than ever. Exhaling into this ease everyday. Thank you for being such a huge & impactful part of my unfolding. Birthday wish : May all of our faith in love be restored This coming year will be full of ancestral reclamation as I make my way to ancestral homelands and continue speaking my mother tongue. Also just found out I’m 30% Peruvian (Aymara & Quechuan) a world of curiosity has opened up in my heart!

I can feel a bright calm fire in my abdomen when I let loves awareness wash over me. When I remember every first terrifying beckoning of it. The myriad of ways love always leads to the same overcoming of self and entrance into a place beyond. It’s the same place every time. Whether it’s an orgasm, or a first kiss, or a necessary conversation, or a coming home to family, or an honest talk with a stranger, or a good book, or a paradigm shift. It’s all the same feeling of completion and wholeness. Understanding that we are here to be brave. A dust lifted from the illusion. I am here to feel that alive feeling deep in my bones. I can’t even begin to imagine the things they DIDN’T pass down to me. From a very early age I understood that most of my trauma was a result of a lack of love somewhere in my ancestry, reinforced over time as abuse or neglect. It took me a while to get more curious about the experiences of my elders but when I started asking questions my heart broke for the stories they had to live through. It has broadened the black and white, A to B mentality I’ve had about what love looks like. I can see that everyone I have loved was trying their absolute best and that will always be enough for me. My dad was never emotionally available but now he cooks me my favorite soup and let’s me crash on his couch whenever I need. My relationship with my mom basically ended at 13, but she always wrote me letters, now most of her memory is gone but she asks about me everyday. I was very resentful that they didn’t support or protect me the ways I needed. I thought it was evidence that they didn’t care, but it wasn’t true at all. In reflection all the tiny acts of love are so bright and gleaming to me it makes me cry almost every day. The more curious I get, the more love I am able to allow in.

What emotional regulation can look like for me Shame/fear ——> curiosity Low self worth ——> unconditional acceptance Anxiety ——> longer breaths, prayers, & affirmations Depression ——> regimented wellness & outsourcing Confrontation ——> clear heart centered boundaries Grateful for the resources, birthed out of years of internalized smallness, that are now gut reactions. Greetings from India 🇮🇳 first lil photo dump My heart is feeling so wide open, unable to blind myself from the multitude of miracles taking place at any given moment. Practicing my trust as I leap and find that ~yet again~ I am unconditionally held, that my curiosity makes everywhere a soft place to land Some of my favorite moments have been smiling at strangers and watching their stares erupt into toothy grins, talking story with the kindest locals and remembering how fundamentally similar we all are, taking in every experience through my senses and feeling struck with presence and beauty Remembering that loving anything at all, expands you.
