Where would you donate billions? 👇🏼 📩 Comment MELANIE below to get my full story on Melanie’s founder journey In 2011, a 19-year-old design student in Perth couldn’t figure out why making a yearbook page took hours of clunky software. So she built something better, and after 100+ rejected pitches, she got funding. That company became Canva. Today it’s valued in the tens of billions, and Melanie Perkins is one of the most successful self-made founders — man or woman — in tech history. Here’s the part most people miss: in 2021, Melanie and her husband/co-founder Cliff Obrecht signed the Giving Pledge, committing to give away more than 80% of their wealth. Last year, they gave $100M to GiveDirectly, the largest single gift in that org’s history, bringing their total giving to $150M and counting. And it’s not a coincidence a woman is leading the way. Research shows women are up to 40% more likely to donate than men, and give more consistently across their lifetime. Wealth built by women tends to circle back to the world faster. Melanie didn’t just build a company. She’s proving what founders do with success once they have it. 📩 Comment MELANIE and I’ll send you her full founder story. 🏷️ Melanie Perkins, Canva, women founders, female founder, Giving Pledge, philanthropy, women in tech, founder story, billion dollar energy, women who give

Should AI companies hire people from arts & humanities? 📩Send this to someone who needs to see it. She just beat Sam Altman. Daniela Amodei is the president and co-founder of Anthropic, the company behind Claude. This week, Anthropic hit a $1 trillion valuation on secondary markets. Higher than OpenAI’s $880 billion. She studied literature at UC Santa Cruz. Not computer science. Not engineering. Literature. Then Stripe. Then OpenAI. Then in 2021, she co-founded Anthropic with her brother Dario. Three years later, the company grew from $9 billion to $30 billion in annualized revenue in a single quarter. A 233% increase. In 90 days. But here’s what makes Daniela different. Anthropic doesn’t just look for coders. They look for great communicators, people with high EQ, kind and compassionate humans, and critical thinkers who understand history. In her own words: “In a world where AI is very smart and capable of doing so many things, the things that make us human will become much more important.” Google’s Steven Johnson called it the revenge of the humanities. The most powerful AI company in the world isn’t betting on technical skills alone. They’re betting on what can’t be automated. Empathy. Nuance. The ability to understand what it means to be human. So the next time someone tells you a humanities degree is useless, remind them: the president of the world’s most valuable AI company majored in literature. And she just beat Sam Altman. 🏷️ women in AI, women in tech, Anthropic, Daniela Amodei, humanities degree, women founders, Claude AI, women leading tech

Comment IPO to get my full breakdown on SpaceX. The SpaceX IPO isn’t what they’re telling you it is. 3 companies. 2 mergers. Zero dollars actually paid. And now the insiders need YOU to make them whole. $18.7 billion in revenue. $2.6 billion in losses. Being sold to you at 94 times revenue. Google was 10x at IPO. Facebook was 10x. Amazon was 2x. Professional investors looked at these numbers and said no. So they came for retail. Watch till the end. Part 2 drops soon — and that’s where it gets really ugly. Would you buy SpaceX stock at IPO? Yes or no. Drop it below. 🏷️ SpaceX IPO Elon Musk investing stocks retirement 401k Wall Street

Are women the future of AI? 📩 Send this to someone who needs to see it. The fastest-growing company in history is being built by women. Anthropic — the AI company behind Claude — just crossed $30 billion in annualized revenue. Up from $1 billion in December 2024. That’s an 80x jump in 16 months. No company, in any industry, has ever scaled revenue this rapidly. Now look at who’s running the product org. The president and co-founder. The CPO. The heads of product, engineering, design, and research. Almost entirely women — who came up through Meta, Figma, Stripe, Amazon, and JPMorgan before landing at the most consequential AI company on the planet. Here’s what makes this remarkable. Women receive just 2% of all VC funding. Two percent. The assumption baked into that number is that women don’t build at speed, don’t lead technical orgs, aren’t suited for the frontier. Anthropic just blew that assumption up. This isn’t a feel-good story. It’s a data story. And the data says we’ve been leaving an enormous amount of talent — and returns — on the table. Swipe to meet the women building Claude. 🏷️ women in AI women in tech Anthropic Claude female founders women founders VC funding artificial intelligence women leading tech
