The recently revealed allegations at Cornell should horrify us all. They made me ask women in this community what they do every day to stay safe. I wrote this from all their answers. All YOUR answers. Don’t just share it with your daughters. Share it with your sons. Share it with the boys and men in your life.

You do not need a 12-step skincare routine. World-renowned dermatologist, Dr. Shereene Idriss, says there are just 3 categories of skincare that every routine needs. Comment ‘SKIN’ and I’ll DM you a link to the full episode! A gentle cleanser. A simple moisturizer. And a daily sunscreen. That’s it. So I asked her to share affordable options you can find at any drugstore. This is not sponsored - these are accessibly priced options that are widely available. But Dr. Idriss says you can choose a cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen of your choice - and focus on these categories first, before adding in other products like actives. She says, when you focus on these three things, you protect your skin, support your barrier, and create long-term change - without overwhelming your bathroom counter or your budget. To hear her other recommendations, and what to add after you master the basics, you need today’s episode of @themelrobbinspodcast in which Dr. @shereeneidriss cuts through the noise and gives you the science-backed, no-BS truth about what actually works - and what’s a waste of money. If you follow what she teaches, you’ll stop guessing, stop overspending, and start feeling confident in your skin again. 🎧 “#1 Dermatologist: The Ultimate Skincare Routine for Amazing Skin.” Tune in now on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or YouTube - search “The Mel Robbins Podcast - Dermatologist.”

Today is my birthday. I’m turning 42. And my life exists because my parents believed in the promise of this country. As I reflect, I can’t separate my life from the immigration conversations happening in the U.S. right now. Forty-two years ago—before I was even born—my parents came to this country just weeks before my due date. Not because they wanted to leave home, but because war forced them to. They are from Lebanon. They left behind everything they knew, including my two sisters, who stayed with my grandparents in Cyprus after my family fled violence and instability. My parents came here, to the USA, with one hope: to give their children a safer future—one rooted in dignity, belonging, and possibility. They believed in the promise of this country: that no matter where you come from or what you’ve survived, you can rebuild something of value and be accepted as part of a community. That belief shaped my life. Today, I feel sadness and fear watching how immigration is discussed and enforced. Laws have changed. The climate has changed. And I can’t help but wonder—if my parents were making that same choice today, would my life even be possible? Still, I haven’t lost hope. This country was built by people like my parents—people who came not to take, but to contribute; not to disappear, but to belong; not to harm, but to build. So my birthday wish is simple: Please show up for the people whose stories are still being written. It’s Monday — and your senators work for you. Please call them today. Advocate for immigration policies rooted in humanity and accountability (see last slide). Behind every law and statistic are families like mine—full of hope, sacrifice, and the desire to give back. Because when we protect the most vulnerable among us, we protect the very ideals this country claims to stand for.

If you look in the mirror and don’t recognize yourself, you’re not crazy - something has changed. Aging is a beautiful, natural part of life. And as I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned to embrace the changes. But when your face starts to shift, it can still feel scary. And it’s normal to go down the rabbit hole and blame yourself: I should’ve worn SPF sooner… I did something wrong… I could’ve prevented this… So I want to equip you with the science - because your face changing isn’t failure. It’s normal. It’s natural. It’s biology. According to one of the most trusted board-certified dermatologists, Dr. Shereene Idriss (@shereeneidriss), there are two scientifically proven ages when cellular aging accelerates. And knowing them helps you understand what you’re seeing in the mirror - and stop blaming yourself for it. Comment 'SKIN' and I’ll DM you a link to the full episode. And in Dr. Idriss’s 17+ years of clinical practice, she’s also seen four major “peaks” where people notice big shifts. One of the biggest? Your mid-40s. Your physiology changes. Hormones fluctuate. Collagen declines more aggressively. Cellular repair slows. And the pace of visible aging can change fast. When you understand what’s happening, you stop panicking - and you start being proactive… and a whole lot kinder to yourself. In this episode, Dr. Idriss breaks down the science, answers your biggest questions, and shares three specific steps that make skincare simple and doable. 🎧 “#1 Dermatologist: The Ultimate Skincare Routine for Amazing Skin.” Tune in now on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or YouTube - search “The Mel Robbins Podcast - Dermatologist.”
