Teen rebellion isn’t automatic. It’s cultural. I grew up assuming teens would rebel, until I met a family with a dozen kids who didn’t. That woke me up to a new possibility. Since then I’ve hunted down older parents whose kids didn’t go wayward and I’ve clung to that hope instead of the fear. My kids aren’t all grown yet, but I’m seeing something different in my older teens. They are a blessing not a burden. They amaze me, take over, and lead. We don’t have to accept “normal” American family culture. We can build our own. And we can see different results.

Look at what chickens can do while I’m doing something else. I put the chicken tractor on top of my raised beds, put in three or four chickens, and a couple of days later they have weeded it and fertilized it. Hardest workers in the room. Comment “builds” for free chicken tractor plans

So excited to cut my dependency on the grid and propane for heating our house. Not only is wood cheaper, local and renewable it’s more family friendly. Hear me out… When paying for heat you have to work to pay for that (usually alone). But if you heat with wood you can do that as a family :) Plus, heating with firewood heats you twice. Once when processing it and another when burning it! Ha! Dad joke ;)
